Upgraded our room . . Very happy with this as standard room we were first given was extremely small and wouldn’t have been happy there

Outstanding West Cork Hotel We spent four days in January 2019 in this excellent hotel in Skibbereen, Co. Cork. It is ideally situated for touring West Cork and/or visiting the many attractions in Skibbereen itself, such as the Heritage Centre, West Cork Arts Centre, etc. The room we stayed in was large, exceptionally comfortable, spotlessly clean and decorated in a modern contemporary style. We highly recommend the restaurant: the breakfasts and evening meals that we had during our stay were of the highest standard. However what makes the West Cork Hotel distinctive is the welcome, service and consideration provided by the staff. The owners, Timmy and Marian, and their son Barry are from the area, and in addition to personally welcoming and engaging with guests have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the attractions of West Cork that, if availed of, will greatly enhance your visit to West Cork. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful, and informative without being intrusive. An outstanding hotel that provides the ideal base for a visit to West Cork.
